The people
Geomar STS is led by STS Superintendents who advise the Masters of both vessels involved in the transfer, so it is completed safely, in coordination and on time.
STS Superintendent · LNG POAC · Master Mariner
The founder of Geomar STS and a Master Mariner with over 25 years in the maritime industry. An LNG STS Superintendent and POAC, he has led LNG Ship-to-Ship and mooring operations globally since 2022, and has served as STS Superintendent and Mooring Master since 2020 — overseeing safe, efficient and compliant transfers of LNG, LPG and oil cargoes worldwide.
LNG/C Chief Engineer · Marine Engineering
A marine engineer with over a decade as Chief Engineer aboard LNG carriers (MAN ME-GA, DFDE) and FSRUs, alongside oil and chemical tankers, with operators including Northern Marine, Maersk Tankers and Thome Ship Management. He covers the engineering side of Geomar STS operations.
LNG STS Superintendent · Senior LNG Master Mariner
An LNG STS Superintendent and senior LNG Master Mariner with command experience on LNG carriers and recent LNG STS operations in Egypt, Mexico, Jamaica and Brazil.
LNG STS Superintendent · Senior LNG Master Mariner
An LNG STS Superintendent and senior LNG Master Mariner with command experience and LNG operations conducted across all major regions of the world. He is also an LNG lecturer and training instructor, covering LNG operations, simulator training and ballasting operations.
He has commanded a wide range of vessels, including VLCCs and large LNG carriers, and handles the manoeuvring side of complex operations. On site he gives practical guidance based on what he has run himself.
