Geomar STS provides independent Ship-to-Ship (STS) operations superintendency. We plan, supervise and report on maritime transfers worldwide, to OCIMF, SIGTTO and IMO standards and to the terminal and charterer matrices that apply.

On-site Execution & Reporting
On-site execution and a written report on completion, covering timings, conditions and any deviations.

Three words decide whether a superintendent is worth putting on your vessel. Here is what each one means on the day.
Independent
Geomar STS is not owned by, and does not act as agent for, any vessel operator, terminal or trader involved in the operations we attend. What we advise on site is decided on operational and safety grounds, nothing else.
Certified
Our STS superintendents hold Master Mariner Certificates of Competency, LNG Person in Overall Advisory Control standing and STS Superintendent qualification, with the tanker and gas carrier endorsements required for the cargoes they attend. Certificates go to your screening department on request.
Safety first
Stop-work authority is unconditional and belongs to every person on either vessel. The transfer is suspended when conditions exceed the agreed limits, and commercial pressure does not enter that decision.
On the vessel, in person
A Master Mariner STS Superintendent attends the operation himself, from first line to disconnection, and mobilises worldwide at short notice, offshore or in port.
